Kayaks on ice. You gotta be crazy!

Kayaks on ice. You gotta be crazy!

Imagine getting dressed each morning, for around five months of the year if my sources aren’t exaggerating, which notches up to around 150 days out of 365 if my math is correct, to get into the fridge.

As a native of the subtropics, I’ve often got dressed in the morning knowing that I will walk outside and melt.

My question, after spending nearly a week recently in the so-called snow capital of the world, Quebec City, where last year they recorded 19 feet of the stuff, is — How do they do it? Not wanting to draw God into this whoever she may be, there but for the grace of the fickle finger of fate the stork might have dropped me. Perish the thought.

But — it is gorgeous. If only it weren’t so effing cold.
